Scott Blair
  • I would like to begin by saying how excited I am to be a part of Raider Nation!  This is my eighth year at Richland and first as Principal. I cannot think of a better place to be.  As I reflect on my career, a few thoughts come to mind. First, all students have greatness inside them.  Every child that walks through our doors has the ability to be great in one area or another.  It is our job as educators to give students the ability and confidence to display it. Secondly, success is defined differently for every student.  My definition of success for our students is that they leave high school with the ability to become productive members of our community.  This may include going to work, trade school, attending college, and/or the military.

One of our goals for this school year is to continue to promote a positive school culture that recognizes students and faculty for their strengths.  We have a diverse group of students that have various skills and strengths that should be highlighted for our community to see.  I can't wait to see what accomplishments our students will achieve this year!
Lastly, I encourage all of our stakeholders to remember: In education, there is no perfect lesson, teacher, administrator, school, or district.  But, if we continually keep our lines of communication open and build accountability for all, we can serve students in the best way possible.  Striving to be a better version of ourselves every day can allow us the ability to continually improve and serve our students.
