LEAPS and Bounds

-
Overview of Program
Our LEAPS and Bounds program has been serving students in grades 2-5 since August 2005. In August 2012, the program expanded to include 1st grade students. The program is designed to enrich the whole child. It does not strictly focus on academics as many of the afterschool programs in Giles County have in the past.
-
Mission Statement
LEAPS and Bounds is dedicated to enriching the lives of children in Giles County academically, physically, socially, and emotionally.
-
Program Funding
LEAPS and Bounds is 100% funded by the Tennessee Lottery.
-
Application Process
Applications for participants are taken throughout the year with priority given to the students identified by Tennessee's Department of Education as high priority and siblings of existing participants. High priority status may also be given to the participants by regular school day teachers, Department of Human Services, Centerstone, Pulaski Police Department or school administration. Applications for participants without high priority status are served on a first come, first served basis.
