Lisa Lambert ~ Guidance Counselor

Lisa Lambert

  • Hello, my name is Lisa Lambert and I am one of the guidance counselors at Giles County High School. I was born and raised in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. I had the opportunity to travel the United States of America during my younger years. When I finally settled down, I completed my Bachelors and Masters at Regis University in Denver, Colorado.

I have been married 20+ years to my husband and have two wonderful children. We have traveled to the countries of Hungary, Austria, Germany and Slovenia, and we temporarily lived in the country of Turkey. Visiting outside of the United States of America has given me a greater appreciation of our country and the liberties that we, as Americans, enjoy on a daily basis.

For about ten years, we lived in Arcadia, Florida where I was a stay at home mom, until my children started grade school, where I worked as a volunteer in the school system. From there, I started to work as a substitute teacher, eventually, getting my teaching license. I was a first grade, third grade and kindergarten teacher. I was able to make the transition from teacher to guidance counselor at the local high school. I found that I enjoyed working with the high school students with their graduation requirements and daily high school life. At the end of the year, I was proud to see the students fulfilling their dreams of graduating from high school and going on to either college, the military, a technical college, or entering the workforce.

Four years ago, my husband’s work brought him to Huntsville, Alabama. We found and relocated to a small farm outside of Pulaski, Tennessee. We have expanded that small farm to include cattle, horses, goats, chickens, dogs, cats and a couple of fish! I manage our small business while maintaining the household and working at Giles County High School. I have found that Tennessee reminds me of the home I left in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, but it is in our backyard, and a little bit more accessible. I truly believe that I have found a new home and I am proud to be part of the Giles County High School family and look forward to many great years ahead.
